The National Hurricane Center has now designated Hurricane Isaias as a post-tropical cyclone, but says Florida is not out of the woods just yet. NHC experts say the state still faces flash flood risk as the cyclone moves northward. Experts say flooding is possible across coastal Southwest Florida and parts of Northwest Florida.Isaias is expected to spread into the Tennessee Valley, Southern Appalachians, and Southeast as it makes its way out of the state. The NHC says to follow the advice of local officials and avoid areas of downed power lines and flooding. Experts also say to ensure generators are properly ventilated and placed outside, at least 20 feet away from the house and garage to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning. Central Florida is not currently under any watches or advisories. There is also no designated severe weather risk to Central Florida at this time.
